COLE'S G & L ASAT TELECASTER        THIS ONE AIN'T NO SOUPBONE.
 
This G&L classic ASAT tele is my latest acquisition. As far as I'm concerned if you're looking to get a Fender style guitar, G&L makes the best. Fit & finish, attention to detail puts them head and shoulders above you-know-who.

Currently, this guitar is totally stock (except for a new bone nut), but one of these days this guitar is going to see a pair of Lindy Fralins, just to see what it can do in the quarter mile. The barrel jack is gonna go too.

Tele's are new to my collection and I really think this guitar is going to do well for my sound. I've being recording live with it in the last month and I'm impressed with all the different tones it will give up for me. It definately will deliver any Fender tone you could ever want and while the front pickup is ever bit as fat as a humbucker, the rear pickup is spanky delicious too! Though I usually prefer the feel of a rosewood or ebony fingerboard, I'm pretty satified with the feel and voice the maple board... snappy! This guitar is definately condusive to the blues genre!

Tele's don't hang the same way as strats do off the body so they have a different balance to them. So it is a factor I have to get accustomed to. But I'm glad I got this guitar... I like it... my amp likes it a lot too. The only thing I don't like are the ABS cases, only because the guitars don't fit well to the case. I immediately replaced the case with a Pro Tec new Contego gigbag.
