From the moment Sears & Roebuck issued the first Silvertone guitar and amp combos to our present day high-tech-low-profile
rack mounted sonic enhancement products, musical gear has often been justifiably catagorized and considered to be mere toys.
For a majority of indigenous local pickers, after a good listen, I can understand the logic in arriving at said toy conclusion.
However, taken that statistic, there is a minority group of practiced, musically skilled individuals, who appreciate the
zen of listening and these toys soon incorporated a marketable, identifiable sonic trademark. Jimi Hendrix's sonic statements
proved we can visit the future.
Realistically, in a word, tool may be a more accurate description for the working musician. Regardless... whether you're
playing with your toy or spankin' your tool, most guitar players everywhere agree that the special bond between them and their
axe, on a good day... could rival a blissful day in marriage!
This page is dedicated to my relationship that's devoted to the acoustic & electric mistress' that are a part of my
life. If you are a guitar and gear freak, you landed on the right page pal! If you're not, so what. Hang out and gain some
knowledge of my genre. You might want to learn to play an instrument if you're not careful.
I will discuss my current guitars that I use on stage and in the studio. I'll chat about my setups for my electric and
acoustic guitars for both standard and open tunings. As a bassplayer for more than two decades, I'll also fill you in on my
4 and 5 string bass guitars and the bass rigs I use occasionally. I'll also share about my string gauges and type, picks,
bottleneck slides, accessories, cables, etc.
